Ocean View Cottage - Anglesea

We had a great stay however it would be great if the kitchen could be updated and deep cleaned. All in all a great locat Positive: Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and well appointed. Reverse cycle air conditioning made the stay warm and comfortable. Rear garden was beautiful with a lovely fire pit. The circular driveway made it easy to enter and exit the property. The views and walk down to the beach was amazing. Negative: Unfortunately the kitchen, utensils, and equipment were lacking. There was limited cook wear available - only 2 nonstick frypans that were severely scratched, worn and passed their use by. We did not use them because of this, so ended up eating out for the duration of the stay. We also found mouse poo in the cupboard above the range hood. See attached photos. The cutlery in the cutlery draw was dirty and the dishes in the draw and cupboard were also wet and dirty. We had to thoroughly wash everything before we felt comfortable to use the cutlery and glasses. The kitchen cupboards were stained and grimy. The oven and range hood had also grease and grime. It felt like everything needed a thorough wash. We had booked the house for the Grand Final weekend but the tv did not have channel 7, and we were not able to load the 7+ app or cast to the tv because it was too old.

Positive: Great property. It was freezing and rained all weekend but we had a lovely time. The heating was really good and we watched the weather change through the huge floor to ceiling windows throughout the day. Our host was really accommodating and gave us a two hour later checkout.
